Good Faith Estimate
At Nurture Health, we believe in being transparent about the cost of care.
Under the No Surprises Act, you have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate (GFE) of the expected cost of your services before starting treatment.
Your Right to a Good Faith Estimate
If you are uninsured or choose to self-pay, you are entitled to a written estimate of costs before starting services. This estimate will explain the expected charges for therapy and other mental health services you schedule with us.
Important: The estimate is not a bill or binding contract. Actual costs may vary depending on the length and frequency of sessions and your specific treatment plan.
When You'll Receive Your Estimate
Before your first appointment: We'll provide an estimate after you schedule your initial session
Upon request: You can request a Good Faith Estimate at any time, even if you're not currently scheduled
When treatment changes: If your treatment plan significantly changes, we'll provide an updated estimate
What Your Estimate Includes
Your Good Faith Estimate will provide an itemized breakdown including:
Service type: Individual therapy, couples counseling, family therapy, etc.
CPT codes: Standardized billing codes for each service
Cost per session: The fee for each type of service
Estimated sessions: A realistic estimate of sessions needed over a specific timeframe (e.g., 10-12 sessions over 3 months)
Total estimated cost: Based on your anticipated treatment plan
Our Current Payment Model
Nurture Health is a private-pay group practice. All clients receive a Good Faith Estimate for services, and we also provide superbills if you wish to request out-of-network reimbursement from your insurance.
If Your Bill Is Higher Than Expected
The No Surprises Act protects you if your final bill is $400 or more than the amount listed on your Good Faith Estimate. If this happens:
You have the right to dispute the charges
Contact us directly first - we're committed to working with you to resolve any discrepancies
You may also start a dispute resolution process with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS)
